title updates / yp listing

Hey,

This is the first time I've had a problem streaming with shoutcast.

The server log shows everything is golden and yp is being touched successfully.

However I note that even after several hours the stream is still not listed.

I've verified the stream is available from inside my network and from remote networks.

Additionally, the source plugin is set for title updates & winamp is the input type, but titles are not being sent out.

I've removed all my fancy DSP stuff and am just using the source plugin straight, but still no titles. My files are all good in terms of their tags, so I am at a loss as to what is occurring.

After searching through the forums I decided to post. Has anyone run into something like this?

.A.

YP listings are not working at this time. No ETA on when it will be up and running.

No. So something else is at play on that one. Does the DNAS status web page and history link show titles?

Looks like maybe a case of reviewing the encoder settings again. Make sure title-streaming is turned on in the encoder, and also that they are showing up in the player you use to source the stream.

I'm stumped - I know you said you checked all that. But if you check again and it all looks good, maybe tear down the encoder and build it again, or try another encoder (#2, for example) and see if it is fixed. I agree that if nothing has changed on the server, problem must be closer to home

this is so wacky..

i set the title and url myself and still no titles.

i mixed up the encoder / output settings in several ways but no dice.

is there a way to run the source plugin in debug, or perhaps a debug version built for w32?

if a reinstall of winamp fixes it and i can't reproduce it would be a shame.

Are you certain you are in "Winamp" mode and not "Soundcard" mode? This is weird...

this has indeed been very weird..

the problem was resolved after i switched back to 'soundcard input', and even streamed the title with it selected..

now i'm back using winamp as the input type and everything is good

i will try to repro and let the forum know what i find
