winamp 5.3.4 crashes with sansa e280 portable
Version 5.3.4 crashes with sansa e280 portable.
Version 5.3.3 worked fine. It manages to create folders when necessary but crashes when attempting to transfer any actual mp3 files. |

Same here for a Sansa 250. Tried going back to 5.3.3 with the same results.
Just saying Hi and subscribing to this thread. Like to know when someone finds a fix. Mitch |

Sandisk Sansa * are all PlaysForSure (P4S) devices.
See my previous post above. The bug is fixed for 5.35 - coming soon. Sorry. More info here (and the ensuing posts below). For now, you could either downgrade to 5.33 and wait for 5.35 release, or you could use 7Zip to extract ml_pmp.dll, and pmp_p4s.dll (plus the other pmp_*.dll files, if used/required) from the Plugins dir in the 5.33 installer and copy them to your 5.34 Winamp\Plugins folder. |

No worries. I knew it would get fixed in time. Thanks for letting me know it was being addressed.
I'm fairly new to Winamp, and totally new to Sansa, so I had no idea what P4S was! Mitch |

Ok, I've made this a temp sticky thread until 5.35 is released.
Though of course, we always recommend that people read the stickys in Bug Reports first, and in particular, the Known Bugs thread. |

I tried 5.34 and 5.33 with no success. 5.33 doesn't crash but I get error in insert 80070003 on every track when I try to copy over a playlist from the local to the Zen Sleek I'm using. None of this happened on my old setup which had been a previous version upgraded from whatever it was to I think the version before 5.33. But I had to do a complete Windows reload recently including all software. Bummer that Winamp is broken now. I need to use my player in a few days for some travel.

The only information you need is the "5.35 Released" link in my above post.
If your Zen is still crashing in 5.35, then it's an entirely different issue to the one outlined in this thread. |

Don't want to be the party pooper, but either I have another bug here (I can reproduce it), or the old bug is still active.
I synced with 3.33 untill 3.5 came out. Now with the 3.5 installed, I get the error again. ![]() Overwritten the dlls (as described in this post earlier on) and now all is fine again. So no harm done, but just wanted to give a heads up to whoever cares. |

Did you install the updated pmp_p4s.dll from the 5.35 update pack?
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....=270944#update (note, you'll also need to restore the 5.35 version of ml_pmp.dll) ^For 5.35 only, not newer versions^ |

Just to be sure, I tried to install the whole 3.35 again but to no avail. The exact same error...
After installing the old dll's I can transfer song by song, but the buttons (sync, autofill etc) disapear on mouseOver. I have the following driver verions: Creative NJB plugin: 0.52 playforsure: 0.62 Usb device: 0.54 You can see my player in the screenshot above. There are no newer firmwares available. I use winxp sp2 all updates. Am I doing something wrong? |

Does not work with 5.35 either
Hi!
Winamp 5.35 does not work with my Sansa Express either. I even installed the Update Pack (posted somewhere else in this forum) which patches the pmp_p4s.dll but this did not help. I installed 5.33, but it crashed also. I had to go back to 5.32 which works like a charm now. Maybe this is a hint for the developers to find the bug. Bye Michel |

I just bought a Sansa e280 and have Winamp v.5.531, and there are some really buggy things going on for me too.
My playlists sync, except for a couple of songs. These songs are copied over, but Winamp crashes immediately after, and they are not being copied correctly, because on the following sync, it reports that these files are not in the Local Media Library. Help!?!?! |

Bringing this thread back to life.
I'm seeing Winamp crash whenever click on 'sync'. It seems though I can still transfer by right-clicking and selecting 'copy to device'. See my thread here. Any suggestions? Last edited by quarrymanpaul; 1st July 2008 at 17:01. |

They do work and inject fine it's working now as a mater of fact. You need you own injector tho. It's just the dll now the injector. Use perx or one on the site. It's just a script not a injector. Please read the sites forum page on it.
