iPod not showing up in Portables list

I have a new iPod Nano, but it's not showing up in the portables list.

I'm running WinAmp Pro 5.24, and the Nullsoft iPod Plug-in v0.54 is installed. Windows 2000 SP4.

Please help!

First, try updating to Winamp 5.35, the iPod plug in has been updated a few times since 5.24. Including issues with devices not showing up if you have iTunes 7.1 installed.

i dont even have iTunes or iPod installed

Can anyone help? I'm desperate.

ANd Yes i uninstalled and reinstalled.

Running 5.35 PRO with the .56 version of the ipod plugin installed

Usb jump drive does not show on laptop on left of media library...no portables or devices.....on desktop, portables and devices show up...laptop has usb plug-in....

able to get to jump drive but does not show...went into portable plug-ins assigned jump drive to F: ..reloaded still no devices on laptop...similarly local media plugins... configured drive ... does not show to left of media library below subscriptions...

something simple I am sure...

iPod support won't help jaysjr, but USB Devices Support might =)

Using the Full installer, make sure that "Winamp Library" > "Portable Media Player Support" > "USB Devices Support" is checked.

Once you open Winamp with a USB device attached, it should ask you if you want to manage the device with Winamp.

I realize now that jayjr posted to an iPod thread looking for USB Device support. It might be a good idea for a mod to split the threads...
