No Stations Avaliable?

Hi.

I hope I have this in the right forum, if I haven't sorry!

When I click on Shoutcast TV in Winamp, all I get is "No Stations Avaliable".

Previously I have had access to this, so I was wondering what is up with this?

Any help would be appreciated!

Samie.

Those do not work!

dontwatchmeTV.com IS WORKING but Winamp/Nullsoft will not work so does anyone have any information as to what is REALLY going on? Maybe legal trouble? I sure hope not...

AOL bought it, now its bow out time

Just some guesses: 1 AOL has shut it down to start hitting up video streamers for money, and no one is up to bat yet.
2 They are re-vamping the listings like last year when they cut the stremaing porn stations out. 3 Its a dep of service attack(doubt it tho), 4 they are cleaning up - databases, or screwy scripting like what runs in2tv.com and makes everything hang, crash, or crapout, they should have just left it alone to begin with, 5 the courts or congress or whoever it is thats making that controversial law decision about copyrighted materials finally got out of limbo, fu*ked up by instituting some law that no one can handle, so they've gotten out of the game until they can figure a way to get around the laws(doubt, everyones still up and streaming everywhere else), 6 they are just being dicks because of bandwidth issues and have decided to shut down TV streaming alogether because their arses hang lower then their twins do, 7 Bad breath and B.O. and no one can get off the floor to reboot the server/s. I'm kinda miffed, I paid for PRO-WA and this is definitely scraping the bottom of the term PRO. Only a bunch of losers will completely cut off the audience and not give any heads up, its like the mean rancher shutting off water to his neighbors cause the river runs through his land upstream. iTs a blatant disregard of any consideration and courtesy to all of us that have been faithful to winamp for years, it use to be so cool, no banner ads, no funky service issues, no lack of channels to surf, no censorship, no ISSUES GDI! So what does this call for? A wait and see attitude? I guess, but the more they strip this nice piece of software and make it their own, the more I feel its time to dump using it. Its a bastardized, mere-shadow-of-itself POS software from what it use to be, about the only thing still good are the visuals. Apparentyl they don't give a damn whatsoever, and of course with typical, deliberate, heavyhanded, stereotypical corporate posturing, they never get these emails anyway. toads. Thanks everyone for being patient with me.

I still have no clue what the hell a YP is. And I still have no stations available.

I'm disabled. I can't go outside and play, so that's out. Luckily there is still a link to Stargate SG-1 in my queue, so I can watch that, but don't have access to anything else. This bites. The people I paid my money to could at least drop a note here and clue us in. -Rod-

All I need is links to the few english speaking shows that are on there...The Shield, House, stuff like that. I went and looked at Shoutcast and that was a joke. They offered to sell me episodes for 1.99. Asshats. Any ideas? -Rod-

SHOUTcast / AOL / Nullsoft doesn't host any of the content. All streams are independently owned and operated. SHOUTcast is just a listing.

And most of the stuff aired probably violates a few copyright laws. Then again, the people running the stream will get the nastygram, AOL will not.

That's ok, I don't have a problem with the stations. I have a problem with the list. If the list has a problem the people responsible for keeping it running should keep the users informed...Shoutcast being a bullet item on the advertising for Winamp. Shrug. -Rod-

truth is at that high quality setting, I have to watch the vinq to make sure there isnt too much action, otherwise it will buffer you.

When I fade to black or white, its because the encoder is MAXXED and Im trying to avoid the buffer for you. at about 196 frames in Que, and you'll buffer for sure!

Hey folks !

I suceed to watch my prefered channel in winAmp from ' don't watch me '...you ought to do as me :

When you have found your prefered channel with 'don't watch me' (press quote button where is URL submitted by user)...then you download the file and record it on your deskTop, and ask your OS to open this file in WinAmp .. that' s simple .

Now by by ciao, I' ll spend the losted time with

F l u X u s Channel very groovy

I think it was 9-5 when I enlarged the screen but it might have been 9-6. By the time I got back to it the game was over. Ah well. At least I got to watch something today besides SG-1.

Does anyone ever stream X-Files? THAT would be cool. -Rod-

What's with all these user submitted links that are getting censored in this thread? If they merely pointed to shoutcast tv listing alternatives, what's wrong with that?
