I was using Winamp and I switched computer monitor resolutions (1024 X 768 to 1280 X 1024). When I switched the resolution back, the bottom of my playlist editor was gone! I can scroll all the way down it using the thing on my mouse, but I can't see the guide-thing when it's down there. How can I get the bottom of my playlist editor back?

delete winamp.ini in the Winamp directory.

I've noticed this happen to a fair few people b4 on these forums . . . most strange !?!

Anyway, I think the easiest & probably only way to resolve this problem is to:

1. Exit Winamp
2. Goto the folder "C:\Program Files\Winamp" [or wherever you installed Winamp to]
3. Locate and open the file "Winamp.ini" [in Notepad]
4. Scroll down till you find the entry for "pe_height=???" [where ??? is a 3 fig. No.]
5. Type in a smaller number [eg. I have mine set to 348]
6. Save the file and reopen Winamp

I think you'll find that this should have solved your problem.

Some people say, just delete the "winamp.ini" file and reopen Winamp. This will reset all the original default settings . . . but then you'll have to reconfigure all your personal prefs again, so I reckon the method above is the better option.

Hey DJ, i followed your advice on how to re-size the playlist (you gave to HilaRyJ423) and it also worked. I had to use both the pe-width and mb-width. Had to change figures a few times but it's back to normal Yahoo!!! Thanks,Joe.

I'm glad it worked for ya GizmoJoe !

"mb_width" refers to the width of the dreaded MiniBrowser, just incase others were wondering !
Although it's not so dreaded anymore for me, 'cos I edited the winampmb.html and removed the shabby java script references to the aol ads . . . replaced it with the NullSoft Winamp website logo . . . so now it doesn't require a dial-up connection every time I use it.
Now I can listen to my MJF's in peace. Yeehar !

Anyway, I digress . . .

A good idea would be to backup the winamp.ini file on a regular basis.
Then if anything drastic should go wrong, you can always exit Winamp, replace the current winamp.ini with the backup version and re-open Winamp . . . problems eradicated !
