Is there any way to make a CD play straight through without the 1 second pause between cuts?

That's possible. But could you tell me what kind of software you're using? (Name, version.)

1)Download and install the CD-Reader plugin
2) Download and install the Gapless plugin or the SQR crossfading plugin

All those plugins are available on this website.

Thanks for the help, but this solution introduced a new problem. While the gap problem is fixed, because I have to replace the in_cddb.dll with the CD Reader dll, I am now unable to access my extensive cddb database plus all entries have to be entered manually. Are there any gap dlls that use the NULsoft in_cddb.dll, so I don't have to load CD Reader?

Hi, DOA
Did you manage to use in-CD Reader with gapeless output plugin? I didn't. It bugged.
I must use Continuous output plugin instead.

Here's a few tips for ya:

The default CD Plugin saved all its data in the "in_cdda.cdb" file.
Open this file with Notepad and cut & paste all the relevant info into the "cdplayer.ini" file in the C:\Windows dir.
This is the file that Windows CD Player uses as its database.

Save & close everything.

Now, rename "in_cdda.cdb" to "in_cdda.cdb.old" [as you initially did with the in_cdda.dll].

Open Winamp & goto:
Prefs -> Input -> CDReader -> Configure -> CDDB tab

Checkmark "Use Local CDDB [cdplayer.ini]"

From now on, the CDReader will have all the info it needs.

Problem solved.

You can also place a checkmark next to "Use CDDB"

Any new CD's you play in Winamp will then cause the CDReader to dial up for the info & save the data in the cdplayer.ini file.

Yeehar.

The only slight hiccup I've found is that you sometimes have to load the AudioCD a second time for the info to be displayed.

Gapless mode update:

As from Winamp 2.79 and higher, you can use the Crossfading DirectSound Output which comes with the default setup (there's no need to download any 3rd-party gapless output plugin any more).
Just goto: Prefs -> Plugins -> Output
and select (hi-lite) this plugin to make it active.

Note 1: If there's still a slight gap, goto: Crossfading DS Output -> config
Checkmark: gapless mode
If there's still a slight gap, also checkmark "auto remove silence..."

Note 2: You will still need to replace the default in_cdda.dll with CDReader.
