My mp3s are playing back at double speed. What's going on?

I am using Line-in v1.0 beta for the input. I am using Nullsoft MP3 output v1.1 (x86) for the output. out_mp3 readme says it needs the ACM codec.

I am recording from tape through the line in jack. The tape output sounds correct thru my PC speakers. But playing back what I've recorded is playing at about twice the speed, though the pitch is not doubled.

The output configuration allows 56 kbits, 24000, 7 KB/s maximum. I installed Netshow tools, per the readme for out_mp3. out_mp3 readme says it needs the ACM codec. What file is this? Where does it go?

I've done what I've been told to. Why don't my mp3s sound right? WHAT IS WRONG?
