When I use the Add dir option to add a directory, all of the songs are added twice. This happens regardless of whether i check recurse subdirectories or not. I also checked, there are NOT any pls or m3u files in these dirs, just mp3s. I have Winamp 2.71 w/Win2k.
Thanks |

Then the only other thing that can be causing this is if you have 2 different input plugins that handle mp3 files.
You'll need to disable the one that you don't want to use by going to the Winamp\Plugins dir & renaming it to something like "in_mp3.dll.off" (make sure Winamp is closed first.) If you have installed an alternative mp3 input plugin, each time you upgrade Winamp the default in_mp3.dll will also be re-installed & re-enabled, therefore you'll have to rename it each time if you want to continue using your alternative plugin. Why anyone would want to use a different input plugin beats me. The latest default one is truly awesome! btw, If this isn't the case, then I've gotta admit I'm truly stumped!
