I presume this is something simple but I don't find mention of it on the doc or in the forum.
The server is installed and running (on our web server). Two mp3 files are in the /content folder: the one that installed with the app and one I stuck in there. Documentation instructs: "Your HTML page should have the following code: You can listen to my song <A HREF="http://my.host.com:8000/content/song.pls">here</A> NOTE: The file song.pls DOES NOT EXIST in your content directory! If a file with the same name exists with the .mp3 extension, the DNAS will automatically generate the .pls file." The html link on my site is: <a href="http://www.biffs.com:8000/content/willy.pls"> After I click on the link the browaser returns a page withe the message: "Invalid resource" Shoutcast writes a line to the logfile: "Invalid resource request(/content/willy.pls)" I get the same result if I try to play the mp3 file that shipped with Shoutcast. Windows media player returns the error message : "invalid data" To further confuse matters, the GUI interface shows everything working and indicates the server is "listening" but the web-based interface indicate a "server down" status. Thanks for any help, Gary |
