Guess what? I can get your PC winamp to look EXACTLY like Macamp IN SECONDS? How is this possible, you say? Well, so to preferences, skins, and click on "base skin". Now make sure that you don't have any Winamp windows up except for the playlist, main window, and EQ. Congrats. that's macamp.

btw: the alpha is sooo prealpha justin hasn't posted it anywhere besides that one beta news site.

Why don't you people understand the word COMPETITION? We NEED macs. And there isn't anything really wrong with macs except for the fact that you can only buy them from ONE company, which sucks shit. But they're not bad machines, just not as compatable as PCs.

I don't care if you like a mac or hate a mac, but somebody out there has gotta have a mac. why hasn't anyone posted a screenshot? I mean, maybe everything looks just like the windows version, but if so, i'm REALLY impressed, seeing as how mac dialogs don't look anything like pc ones.

In case you haven't noticed Winamp in Windows doesn't exactly conform to the usual Windows style interface, so why should it look Mac-like on the Mac?

Winamp for Windows actually looks a lot more like something from Macs because of the title bars for all the windows, that's what I thought when I first downloaded it.

Hmm... now if a PC manufacturer can come up with anything near the design of the Titanium Powerbook, let me know because I might be getting one towards the end of the year. Heh.

My mate Dan has a Mac G4 I'll get him to do it and post some screen shots tomorrow. (or Friday).

sorry to say but MacOs sucks more than windows, it's more limited and it was made for "less inteligent" people, just like AOL. I'd rather be a victim of M$ then crAPPLE

this really *really* gets to you, huh, redvsion? I think xapec just meant that the interface, like AOL is very very simple and supposedly intuitive for people with less computer knowledge. I don't think xapec is calling AOL users less intelligent.

I am interested in seeing some screenshots as I ponder how Mac users will use the menuing system in Winamp. (One-button mouse, anyone?)

I have nothing against Macs. I like the way they look, and they handle Photoshop better than a PC. If they had more games and support, I'd just about switch from the crap of Windows.

Macs are actually far ahead of windows in design and graphical capability. Has anyone here other then me actually read about MAC OSX? It's a ground breaking OS. I personally like the Windows feel better, but the way the OSX is designed is incredible. Sure they make it so anyone can use it with ease, but they do it SO well. Too bad I'm so used to Windows I couldn't possibly think of leaving it. I think Explorer is the best shell in feel and usability but MAC's intuitive graphics and technilogical leaps are very impressive.

Of course Mac OS is limited, but do you know how much more robust it is when it comes to intensive operations? Unlike Windows, Mac OS is efficient and doesn't have to gasp for fresh air by digging all of your memory. And who are you to judge that Macs and AOL were intended for 'less intelligent' people? AOL is an isp that simply integrates the tasks of e-mail, instant messaging, web browsing, and news all into on application, therefore it earns its spot as "user-friendly", but is not directed to a crowd of retards.

Don't blow something out of proportion just because you judge it by its reputation as a 'user-friendly' system.

personnaly i am not a windows fan either, but i use win/macos every day - yes i do use mac at school where i help the network admin work on their shit, i do not call mac users less intelligent but it is marketed as easier for people who are more of (so called)"newbies", just like AOL is, i do not prefer windows either - most people know by now i am a unix/linux person.

macs

Growing up on Hotline has taught me not to espouse such idiotic hatred toward Macs and their users. After all, most of us remember using Apple2G's in elementry school and shit, but Macs today can hold their own to PC's. Who knows whether Macs are marketed toward more newbie dumbasses who don't know how to double-click. Just go onto Hotline to find thousands of the hardcorist l33test Mac users you've ever seen (yes, between the million kiddy porn servers). Prejudice usually comes from ignorance, and half of the people who say that Macs suck have never seriously used them.
