http://bluemars.org/wa3skintutorial/...repeat_fix.zip
To update, simply unzip wa3alpha6_shuffle_repeat_fix.zip in Winamp 3's home directory. It'll update your default script, Repeat and Shuffle should then work again. Note that hitting next doesn't select the next song on random even if you have shuffle enabled, only reaching the end of a song will shuffle the next one. This is the expected behaviour. Alright then... Sorry for the inconvenience, thank you very much and see you for my next bug ![]() Francis. Bluemars - Music For The Space Traveller |

Hmm... the playlist/eq/ML loads really slow... it takes "ages" till they show up... is it just me...? am using alpha6E, this did not happen in the previous alpha's...

you know, now that I look at it, your right, the playlist does take a second to show up.
Winamp3 alpha6 startup time is faster for me. Not turing off the playlist editor (or other compeonets) or turing it back on. |

the link worked for me too, and the fix worked, except I then I had 2 Defaults in the skin selector.
So I extracted Default.wal not overwritng those 2 files, then re-zipped it, then renamed it to .wal again. |

Francis,
Would the team rerelease alpha6 with the fix included in it? I think it would be easier for those that have not downloaded it yet. |

hey Francis... the patch isn't helping: I put the two files (the sysfunc.bin and sysfunc.was into the exact same directory as where I have Studio.exe... it's not doing anything. I even tried reinstalling but no luck... any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks |

You have to extract the zip file to the WA3 folder, but make sure you tell WinZip to "use folder names." Or you can just extract the files manually to the Winamp3\Skins\Default\Scripts\ folder. Be warned that when you do this, there will be 2 "Default" skins in the Skins menu. Picking either one of them seems to work fine.

Yes! It works now: I don't have to go back to using Winamp 2.74. Thanks for the help, Beamer.

I'm having the same problem with full minute waits for winamp 3a6 to come up (never had that problem with earlier alphas). Otherwise, it's all good. I don't know if it's that it's actually smaller or that I'm not using all the plugins/components I use with 2.74, but it seems to be using up fewer resources for me. Cool!
With the shuffle thing, it seems that I can't just press play to start. I have to actually pick a song to start the shuffle. Anyone else notice this? Stefan |
