4P - PP's Plug-in Package for Winamp v2.7x

Hi peeps,
I'm proud to present to you : 4P - PP's Plug-in Package for Winamp v2.7x

4P is and NSIS installer (currently using NSIS 1.4 beta 2) I scripted containing all
Winamp 2.x plug-ins my buddy Peter Pawlowski (PP) ever coded !

If you do not know him, he's the guy that wrote the excellent MIDI plug-in in Winamp 2.7x ... If you still have no idea ...

4P contains all the latest versions of the plug-ins and is constantly updated with new versions or new NSIS installers.
It even contains his Vorbis OGG plug-in, that hasn't been released untill now,
please test it !

it generally does the same, but it can also convert crappy 22khz mono mp3s to cd-burnable wavs, write warious weird wav formats and even encode mp3s (like Justin's out_mp3) if codec is present. it can also merge multiple songs into single wav.

those are some very nice features, but in general how is the quality of your wav writer compared to the diskwriter? and the other file encoders. do they stack up well to the compatition?

there is no real difference in quality between ACM writer and regular diskwriter. ACM writer does exactly the same thing as diskwriter when format conversions are disabled. if you burn cds, you can evilly set conversion to 44k / stereo / 16bit to make sure that all output has correct format, but it wont touch audio data at all if it already comes in that format (eg. when converting 'standard' 44k stereo mp3s).
LAME encoder plug-in is just another LAME encoder; it uses LAME dll (you might want to get some newer lame_enc.dll if you are cool). it also works with all sorts of bladeenc-compatible dlls. the same about out_vorbis - it uses (almost) unchanged version of libvorbis beta4; there is no real difference in quality (except for support for 24-bit and 32-bit input).

i've just updated out_vorbis - http://www.blorp.com/~peter/zips/out_vorbis.zip - totally cleaned up config window now lets you touch _real_ encoding parameters instead of settings that don't affect libvorbis at all. (will be in the next 4p update)
