very very easy.

use that with a perl script, which is cgi.

download this zip file, and there are 2 files.

place both in a cgi bin, chmod the PL file as 755, and call it by typing in an html doc,
code:
<!--#include virtual="cgi-bin/random.pl" -->

rename the html file to a .shtml file (webpage.shtml) and upload.

all done.
Attached Files
File Type: zip random.zip (1.7 KB, 162 views)

in CuteFTP you can do it. Right click the file, choose CHMOD and select 755.

Or, telnet into it and type CHMOD (filename) 755.

For your benefit, here's the man page for chmod:

code:
sand:~ % man chmod

CHMOD(1) FSF CHMOD(1)

NAME
chmod - change moderators

SYNOPSIS
chmod [OPTION]... MODERATOR NONMODERATOR

DESCRIPTION
This manual page documents the Winamp version of chmod.
When called without any options, chmod changes MODERATOR
into "Junior Member" and promotes NONMODERATOR into
"Moderator".

chmod never changes the permissions of ElChevelle; the
chmod system call would rather not bring upon his wrath.

OPTIONS
-a, --admin
promotes NONMODERATOR into "Administrator"

-s, --senior
changes MODERATOR into "Senior Member"

-w, --waffles
confiscates MODERATOR's waffles and gives them to
NONMODERATOR

--help display this help and exit

--version
output version information and exit

REPORTING BUGS
Report bugs to http://forums.winamp.com/.

SEE ALSO
The full documentation for chmod is maintained as a Tex*
info manual. If the info and chmod programs are properly
installed at your site, the command

info chmod

should give you access to the complete manual.
