Default script & New skins
To all wa3 skinners around, unless there is a reason for you to do so, please do not include the system script in your skin. Instead, refer to it in your skin as "../default/scripts/sysfunc.maki".
This way each time we update the skin and script, your skin gets updated along with it. The script is general enough to detect if the specific objects it looks for are not there. I am working these days on making it possible to call it from other scripts, so you can display temporary text in the info line without having to include your own version of the default script. Note that if you do that, all you need to do to have the default script functionality is to give the same name to your objects as in the default skin. On the other hand, you have to be careful that those objects match. If they don't (ie: the default skin has a "play" button, but your skin has a "play" layer), you'll get a guru (VAR/OBJECT CLASS MISMATCH). If you still want to include your own sysfunc, feel free, we can't force you not to ![]() Francis. Bluemars - Music For The Space Traveller |
