play winamp

I have recently downloaded the new version of winamp but when I choose a station to listen from only a window opens called "aol media player" and it does not even play the music(it stops working with the statement "getting info."

How can I get winamp to open and play the station I choose from the selections provided.

All associated extensions have been selected in the file type preferences.

Thank You

So, basically you're using AOL browser and it's got it's own internal aol media player built in, yes?
If so, firstly I've never used aol and wouldn't even if they offered to pay me, so I've got no idea where/what the relevant settings are, but you'll need to disable this aol p.o.s. player somehow.
If you've already done what Winamprocker says, then look in aol options or contact aol support.
Though the simple solution would be to not use aol browser, use IE instead, and get a real ISP (aol is one of the worst ISP's in existence)

Good luck, and let us know how ya get on.

OK

Nemesis, thank you for the feedback. I followed your suggestion about AOL preferences and I am now listening to the beautiful sounds of my
good zombie friend, Rob, over the Winamp Player. Now my life can go on.
