Mp3 songs in hebrew not playing in winamp 2.78 & Win XP home

I installed winamp 2.78 on my new laptop working on Windows XP home edition- Hebrew enabled.
When trying to add hebrew mp3 songs to the play list the titles appear as question marks & won't play.
On windows media player there is no problem.
Also on my desktop with the same system it works OK.
Any suggestions?

Sounds to me like Winamp doesn't have international text capabilities. I'm not sure if there is a fix for this or not. Hopefully someone else will know,

By the way, have you tried them in Winamp 3? I'm just wondering if they will work there.

Happy reading!

btw, don't use WinXP ID3 Editor to edit ID3 tags.
Use Winamp's internal editor (Alt+3) for full compatibility.

Or try a mass tagger program instead.

From TSGH thread (first ID3 link)
Winamp does not support Unicode characters in ID3v2 Tags, as made by WindowsXP (ref)
