Winamp3 problems

While I commend Nullsoft for putting out a teriffic looking new Winamp, there are some pretty big issues I have with it.

1) Media keys: I own a Microsoft Natural Pro keyboard. I use the blue media keys at the top to control Winamp. It's exceedingly handy to have. The only problem is, how did something work in the previous version only to not work now? I mean, why couldn't they include bits of the code or something to make it function properly in Winamp3? This is by far the biggest problem I have with it. Infact, it's a big enough problem to keep Winamp3 from being installed on my drive.

2) Random playlist: What I was doing was just randomly going through songs, but if I had moved ahead too fast and wanted to backtrack to a song, it wouldn't find the song that I just wanted to hear. So going forward AND backwards are random. I don't care for that. I hope for an option that would allow static backtracking.

3) Equalizer: I've read some stuff about preferences not saving when you minimize Winamp3. I also get this problem. Basically, if you set your equalizer and then minimize the program, the next time you bring it up, your settings have been returned to default. Mostly just the equalizer.

Other than that, everything is great, I'll just have to wait for these problems to be remedied before I can install and safely use Winamp3. I look forward to doing so.

The RM-X plugin will give you support for your keyboard.

Yeah, I saw something about RM-X or something, but I've not a clue what it is. Could you toss an URL at me or something, please?

if you dont like that plugin (ive never used it) i wrote a program a while back for this exact purpose. my multimedia keys on my keyboard didnt work for winamp, and i wanted them to, so i wrote my own program for this purpose.

its configurable for play/pause, stop, previous, and next. --only

it works while winamp isnt running as well, meaning, if you press play, and winamp isnt running, it will start winamp and begin playing.

if anyone is interested in this, ill make it available to you

i should mention too, its for winamp 2.x only.
