Adding flouride to the water supply.

The UK government plans to add flouride to the national water supply. Is this a sesnsible move, or do you view it as an infringement on your freedom?

My own view is, as long as there are no side-effects then do it.

Cylob, we just had a "big-to-do" about this recently in the city i'm at. it actually got quite nasty. and my view mirrors yours. besides, the rug-rats pediatrician had to prescibe flouride because it was not present in the water supply anyways.

We've had it here in the states for a long time now, and as a result, American pop culture is being exported all across the globe.

Floride deposits in the body once it fortifies your teeth it basically just sits there. Doesn't do anything really, except for your teeth.
Or is that Mercury? I can't remember.

No, Mercury is what they used to put in hats, which is why the Mad Hatter was so fucking Mad. Mercury poisoning. Heh. Who wouldv'e thought.

I don't think they have Floride in the drinking water where I live, but it would be nice to know.

And cancer isn't a light subject with me, but if floride causes it, it's a bit of a downer, eh?

Tobacco causes cancer, D&C Orange No. 17, D&C Red No. 8, D&C Red No. 9, D&C Red No. 19, DDT, lead, Nickel and certain nickel compounds, Saccharin, are all carcinogens. the list goes on Though floride is not on this list.

You would think that something going into the water supply was thoroughly, thoroughly, thoroughly tested. On that assumption, I'd happilly let my kids drink it.

The flouride in drinking water is to help prevent tooth decay and such. IT's like what you get at the dentist, and now you can even buy flouride to use at home. It dosen't harm you unless you swallow it.

But the flouride in drinking water isn't enough to harm you.

yeah, the government would be kinda dumb to put something that kills people into the water supply, no people, no tax revenue.

It's a shame they can't add brandy to the water between 6-12pm.

well they where testing adding LSD into the moscow water supply and all... so who knows that they will do.
I have grown up with flouride and I am fine *twitch* Just fine!
soo... if it is not enough to harm me, then how can it help my teeth?
