Buying domestic cars......does it matter anymore?

If anything I believe that Tesla should be supported. If you have the funds that is because it is not easy for them to have it cheap from the day 1

Recently, when the internet develops quickly, buying a car from other countries is easier, people can read more information and compare cars with each others, domestic cars has to compete harder. Quality is an important thing in which buyers are interested, if domestic cars are not as good as others in oversea, of course they will buy the better car.

I'm not even really sure cars aren't obsolete. We drive them an average of 6 miles per trip. 2 gallons of gas to get a gallon of milk? Practical? You're driving a ton of machine to haul a couple hundred pounds of you and 20 or 30 pounds of cargo, if it's not a gallon of milk, a burrito and 2 packs of smokes.... just my last trip. I needed 300 ponies for that?

I'm pretty sure that the car "enthusiasts" on this board will obviously disagree, but its the truth. 90's Pontiac engines were garbage(I don't care what you say). Interiors on many GM cars had weak control knobs and upholstery. Ford had very weak car offerings with many of the same flaws as the GM cars, though their engines had a different problem than the GMs.
I watched my family blow through 9 or so domestic cars over the past 10 years. But my 89' Honda is still kicking till this day. Yes I know, driving habits and blah, blah, blah. But I know the way they drive and I knew how often they maintained the crap. Things didn't add up period.
But anyway, "domestic" car makers(If you can even call them that anymore) have to work themselves out of the hole that they dug so many years back.

I'd support them if they actually sold what I wanted.
I don't want a fucking SUV. I don't need a goddamn station wagon with a Hemi in it. I don't want a minivan. I just need a car with good gas mileage that runs for at least 150,000 miles before imploding. It doesn't seem that hard to do since every other country is doing it quite well but the American auto industry has had it's head up it's collective ass for so long selling these road hogging behemoth fuckmobiles that they don't know how to build anything else. Hate to say it but with this trend my next car might very well be a foreign shitbox unless the Big Three get off their asses and start building FUCKING CARS again.
