Itz out. Just DLed it for those who care. "100's of new features!" Seems most are cosmetic, but the new look is slick. Can pick ur own Welcome Screen and Backgrounds, toolbar colour scheme, ect. Gotz this lil' companion thing that is kinda nifty. Will find a DL link and post it.

I dont think many people will care since AOL is one of the least reliable ISPs IHMO ever. Its only used by tons of people because its "easy" to use.

        AOL? LOL!

The only good thing about AOL is that they started sending me those free signup discs that I use as coasters in the mail so now I don't have to pick them up at walmart anymore.

Yea, I will agree that AOL is not quite the best ISP around, but luckily I have cable, and don't have to use it to surf. The only reason we have is because my parents didn't want to change their E-mail address. My mom in particular. 2 of my sisters have PKU, a genetic disease which basicly makes it impossible for them to digest protein (in very simple terms). They can't have a lot of normal food (meat, cheese, ect.) or they will become brain damaged. My mom is signed up with about (literally) 25 different newsgroups that send eachother recipies of special food that can me made for them. It's easier to jsut keep the AOL name @ the lower price (since we don't use their modems). Not that you all really care about all that, just thought I would explain why we even have AOL installed here, so that I wouldn't get ripped on for the next few weeks.

I can imagine that - neo would flame anyone that phoned up, as only newbies used AOL, and by definition newbies have a smaller post count, and therefore need flaming!

Because if we stop out account, doesn't the e-mail address away?

i laugh at people who have aol as their dail up service provider. when everything they get can be gotten from free (i love you nocharge.com) to a meer 14.95 a month dail up.

honestly some people are really ignorant. it makes me sad. its not like aol has a monopoly over internet access..

I found that once I was connected, AOL was quite fast.
Connecting was the biggest bitch of them all...

Lets hope that AOL 8.0 is enough to save their asses.
I wouldn't want to see an end to Winamp...

True, whenever I go to Fred Meyer, I see free Aol discs, it saves me time now that they send them to my house. I get at least 1 per month.

                              Aol discs are great frisbees.
