Also, it simply fuels racial tensions. As a white male, I would be quite pissed if someone else beat me out because they were < insert race here >.

A potential solution is to make applications in such a form that the reviewer has no idea what race the person is.

Regardless, I hate any sort of affirmative action, and I particularly hate it when employers are forced to hire less qualified employees because of it.

i think it's bullshit. As bad as it sounds, it seems that all these efforts to make racial equality haev jsut made things more unfiar. I am a white male, and it is almsot impossible for me to find a decent job because theese damn workplaces need to find a black woman, or a mexican to meet the racial quotas. I think it shoudl be you fill out your app, they don't know your race at all. That is the only fair way

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. However, "Affermative action" is evil. I like the IM interview idea, though.

Affirmitive Action is terrible. If they want to they can still discriminate, and nobody will ever be completely happy. I think it's their choice who to choose, regardless of race/etc. It's their choice.

Kind of. Except that they actually have some basis in talent/stregth/whatever, not just some genes that make your skin a different color, or your nose flatter, etc.
