I want to but a counter thing in my signature but I can't figure out what I have to put into the profile section to get it to show up.

that won't work, you can't have a .htm show up as an image. you'll have to do some fancy php (which geocities don't allow anyway).

You wont get the background image, so add some text to show what the numbers mean.
