The "F" bomb would be "Forgiveness".

Do you believe in forgiving others? If you don't forgive others for thier wrongdoing should you be forgiven for yours?

I think we all have trouble in this area. I know I do. I believe in forgiveness. I also feel that if you don't forgive others, you should not be forgiven.

It depends on intent, I guess. Sleep with my girlfriend thinking she was single, forgive you, kill her. Sleep with my girlfriend while knowing I was in the picture, kill you, kill her.

It depends completely on the circumstances behind the act.

Would it be fair for others to forgive you when you don't forgive others? I look at forgiveness like it was respect. To get respect you have to give respect.

Life is too short to forgive. If one person wrongs you, then move on to the next person. It's not like the world's short on people.

Then again, my definition of "wronged" is severe. An argument requires no forgiveness. Only things related to betrayal would qualify, and betrayal cannot be safely forgiven anyway. (Once someone betrays you, they'll almost certainly do it again.)

This also comes from the point of view of someone who doesn't want a large circle of friends, but just a few close friends. (If you have my phone number and you're not a business contact or family member, then I consider you a close friend.)

that's pretty much how i am, i've got only about 4 people i REALLY consider "friends" and i'd do mostly anything within reason to make them happy.
