The last thing I bought were the Jay Bird x2 Earbuds. And these bad boys sound amazing. I thought the default earbuds that came with your iPhone were good. But damn the Jay Birds blow them out of the water.

Ha, indeed I did. I've gotten some currency from various places that I've yet to photograph.

    flash: 109€
    wireless trigger: 38€
ye olde nex-3 included as size reference

And just as I'd ordered it, Sony introduced their own radio controlled flash system.
The trigger alone is supposed to cost $350 (usually €-prices are at least as much).

It feels strange to discard my trusty cam over a small plastic button but this is something I cannot repair myself.
If it has a remote socket you could use it with one of those cheap cabled remotes (ergonomics shmergonomics, just tape it to the handgrip ).

Otoh it may have been about time, the A580 (Sony's last slappy mirror camera afaik) has a much better sensor, not just in terms of high iso but also in how well it handles contrasty scenes.

Thanks Jaz… this one ought to be interesting … a two and a half year old and a new born.

And I wonder how my parents ever managed to raise me and I was the good kid WotL!

Our daughter is strong willed and independent. That a good thing in all respects except for discipline.

Kids are fun. And sometimes a nightmare but it's always worth it. Hey, your parents managed to raise you

    Uh... congrats?

I never understood the social need to congratulate people on becoming pregnant. Hope your spawn doesn't drain the life out of you like a fun-sucking vampire.

A few more things came in:

Picked up a $50 bill from 1928, back when we were still on the gold standard. It mentions that it is redeemable in gold.

$2 bill from 1917. Terrible pictures due to the plastic being curved a bit. I need a setup where I can lay a piece of glass on top to flatten it out.

1000 Won from South Korea, from 1950. Serial number 47. This particular issue was printed in Japan.

1960-O Half Dollar. O = New Orleans mint. Filled a hole in my Type Set album.

1863 Indian Head cent. Also filling a hole. Huge die crack on the reverse, and either a small die crack or a die scratch in the "AM" of AMERICA.

Austria Maria Theresa Thaler, 1780X re-strike. They've been re-struck from 14 or more different mints nearly continuously since 1781. Hundreds of millions available. Newer ones are about $20 shipped. They're 83.3% silver, and contain 0.752 troy ounce equivalent of pure silver.
