      • Only 10 years. I'm sorry I didn't participate in the discussions during Winamp's development heydays. I did a lot of lurking back then.

        • This account is old enough to drive a car and drink beer (not at the same time, mind you)

Five hundred and sixty-six thousand have joined after.

The search for the ultimate signature continues apace. I have journeyed from the peaks of Nepal to the depths of oceanic trenches. I have crossed deserts, jungles, swamps, savannas, steppes and frozen wastelands. I have consulted with seers, swamis, sages, scholars and savants. The peregrination proceeds purposefully.

                        • Hello. I'm new here. And happily raising dead threads. Thread necro! But I think we can use some "resurrection" here? At least for wAmp itself...?

Anyway. Right here, I've been for all of 5 minutes.

But I got with the program rather early on. 1997. I am still the proud owner of a used v1.20. I think that's the earliest Amp I actually used, but I can't be sure. I used 1v91 for a while, that I remember...

                            • Thanks! I was hoping for a more vibrant community. Seems it was quite lively, though, a while back! Perhaps it will be that again, some day; or perhaps it's just a temporary lull.

                              • It definitely seems like they're actively working on a completely new Winamp already. With the fans of winamp who also write code today, I'm betting on something pretty amazing showing up before too long.
