Yep, now it's a catastrophe if the inet blinks out even for a few minutes because we've lost control of our homes and can ask midair for inane bits of useless info on the spur of the moment or what the temp is 20 times a day..

Oh frivel.. can't edit post.. shoulda been can't instead of can but, that's probably obvious from the context. We've all had to experience a world where grammar and spelling are not quite the same things anymore when people don't know then from than etc.

But, glad I've had Winamp running through all the various PC incarnations and Whenderz versions all this time too.!

tbf i wasn't expecting the winamp forums to rise from the ashes from that OVH fire from a while back, as the forums probably has some very valuable info on modern skins not archived anywhere else, and that's worrying

Today, I encountered a 'Winamp is back'-type news story linking to this forum.

Realized I spent a lot of time here as a kid.

Remembered my awfully bad password. Logged in for the first time since May 2007.

Proceeded to cringe read harmless nonsense I wrote here as a teenager.

I was clearly looking for some, any online place to fit in. I did find a bunch of good music recommendations here. Everyone was remarkably civilized and kid friendly, too. Good mod work, probably. Thanks!

Still taking it all in while surprised by how intensely this fairly mundane rediscovery hits. Does everything involving time passed and past selves feel like this to old people?
