So tomorrow I'm going to get cut open so my gut can be fixed and then they'll staple me back together. It's routine surgery and I'll likely be released to go home same day so it's nothing to worry about, but it's kinda buzzkill knowing I'm not allowed to do much for a while until this heals up.

Just got a positive self test this morning. The line went red as soon as the liquid touched it, within even a minute.
I'm still waiting for the official results but I guess this is round 2 for me.
I cough a lot and my mouth feels dry. Other than that I'm ok I guess but I'm staying and working from home for now.

if you had your shots , it should feel like a normal flu or whatever normal flu is these days.

in that case you should be better in a few days.

Never got the virus, but did get the 2+1 shots, Moderna in my case. The second of the three had a hard-hitting reaction, but it only lasted one bad day with a high fever then the next day I was on the roof cleaning the chimney like there was never a problem. Several contacts of mine had a similar reaction to their second shot.



I did get a separate health problem though. A big bulge popped out of the side of my lower abdomen. It turns out I have a hernia from doing too much manual labor in too little time. I have a desk job at a high school but have been doing some tree service on evenings and weekends. It started out just helping out friends/family in exchange for them letting me keep the wood for firewood. Then word got out and I ended up doing too much too fast using my body rather than equipment for much of the work. As far as the virus goes, I started the new year with it. Pfft, bad cold BUT the after effects are insane.
