Forum upgraded to vBulletin v5.7.2 - Post all observations etc. here

i now only see 2 themes to choose from, but they seem very similar, not at all like the old forum.

how does Pawel see a dark mode???

There are 3 themes now, at the bottom of the page. I see Egg added Dark Theme (If this is possible I would replace Black color (000000) with some grey (for example 181818 or similar).

Previously I used the Theme I found in User Settings\Account -> Forum Style (in the list you can find more styles).

Slowly my forum avatar is becoming animated again, maybe it's a weird caching issue.

Anyway, I noticed I can still edit old posts. Is there a thing in the forums that let's people see the original post and successive iterations of edited posts?

Heh, when I clicked into winamp forums I just got a white screen with no right clicky. For a while I just figured that forums were down again and didn't think much of it... finally decided to try it again, still no, then tried a different browser without adblock, yep works.

So yeah, seems ublock Origin's cosmetic filter was blocking it, which is odd

This is absolutely aggravating! Suddenly my version update posts for my plugins are being blocked for approval. This didn't happen before the upgraded forums.

I just noticed the new forums don't show who the moderator of a particular subforum is.

I don’t see this as an issue, I’m still getting reported post and all that guff, less is indeed more as it turns out.

I don't look for the moderator for reporting spam, I always used the report link to do that.

I always looked to see who the moderator was before PMing someone. Not an issue so much but I just dislike that feeling of pinging the wrong moderator for a post edit/fix. That's all.

There is no such thing as the wrong moderator, we are all one team, like some benevolent uncles, we watch over you all, just not in a creepy way... some of this might or might not be true

You can PM me any time you like about any subject you like, can't say I'll respond in a timely manner, I just spotted an unread message in my mailbox from 10 years ago the other day, but the sentiment is there

I consider this new forum a huge upgrade it’s gotten better as u work out the kinks, but please don’t stop! Still plenty to do on here, and can we get the beta site back? And a hidden beta forum for the beta testers only too please?

Seems to be faster than vBulltein 4.x.x, and pretty similar to the vision that XenForo inherits from vBulletin 2. Still, that sudden change caught me off-guard (yeah, I know that you've been using vBulletin 2.8.x, but I know that other open-source aternatives for vBulletin and XenForo like phpbb, mybb and even Joomla doesn't compare to the plethora of settings that vBulletin offers, and even to reach that level, you have to learn Drupal or die trying).

First observation is that wide avatars are reduced back to square ones
