  • "the places you have come to fear the most"

ok, ok, i'll admit it, i'm a sheep
but i WANTED to put my title in quotes
and this is in no way an obscure reference

are there any places where you are truly afraid to go?
i mean, is there one place that you know of which holds a special place of fear for you, for any reason?

for some reason, i'm afraid of the steam tunnels beneath the building i live in
there are stories that behind one section of hte wall, a person was buried alive
i'm always kind of jumpy in underground areas, and this makes it worse b/c it's very small, and i keep hitting my head on teh pipes in it

If you wanted to use brackets then why did you use quotes? :smartass:

Probably the scariest place I have ever been is not really a place, but a state of mind. Sometimes, when I am meditating, I slip way down into a new and unexplored "area". This scares the crap out of me. Most of the time I end up jumping out of the meditative state and find my heart racing and my breath quickened. After such instances, sleep is hard to come by.

Gotta be hospitals...not much good ever happens at one of those except for babies being born. I especially dislike visiting emergency rooms after flipping my convertible onto the roof.

There really isn't any place I fear going to. But besides places like an obvious mine field or "thug" neighborhood, anywhere where (dead) people are buried, or are in a presence like a cemetary or funeral home. Something odd about it. I'd go to one, but I hallucinate the most at one rather than somewhere like in my own home all alone. "Haunted houses" on the other hand, I don't believe in, so...
A very close Japanese friend I knew a while ago once said to me "Watashi no koto wo oboeta, onegai shimasu...Yakusoku?"

                          I forgot his name though...

the rutgers douglass campus. for those of you NOT in the know, it's an all girls campus, the subject of many a rutgers university man's fantasy. but i have come to fear it because every girl i've dated or slept with, or even met that comes from there has major psychotic issues. and all the rest are man-hating lesbians. so yeah, i stay away from there and i avoid any girls that come from there.
