I think the one you might be talking about might be 'FusionAmp DFX-6', comes with vis. plug-in that shows a couple of speakers.
That might be it.

I remember years ago when I first started using Winamp I had a skin that looked like a set of speakers, they moved according to the beats and everything. Anything like this available now?
