I have 120gb of music files. They are 7.500 on flac, mp3 and wav
Every CD that I rip is in wav. Sadly my hdd passed off and I was able to recover the 75% of my music collection. The most of my music collection is Greek LPs, Greek Promos and Greek Collections and VideoClips *lost*. The other music collection is Disco from the 80s & 90s, some cool 2004-2006 songs and New releases.

    I'm mid-range, I guess?

I'm in the process of (re-)digitizing all of my music, and overhauling my collection. Correcting tags and inserting cover art. (Manually. Sometimes even editing the artwork, e.g. to add titles or logo.) Painstaking work, been at it since tail end of 2019. Great fun, too!

Started using the media library only in 2019. (I've loved wAmp since its inception, but used only a fraction of its capabilities.)

But because the maintenance project is still undone, I can't give definite figures yet.

For now: 44GB still is a raw mess; even some WAV in it. (As I saw here, I'm not the only one with that!) But around 103G is all done! Just over 1200 CDs, records and tapes.

    16096 tracks. 49 days.
(15 days of metal. 12 days of soundtrack scores. 8 days of rock. 4 days of pop. I don't know how to count the electronics category -- like gothic/EBM, trance, dance, synthwave, etc.; those use too diverse genre names to quickly search for.)

Hey! Those days combined are already 49 days, even though I rounded down! That leaves <24h room for other genres... like electronics... that's not right. 15h of "pop rock" overlap doesn't begin to explain it. Oh, well... I'll have to learn to use the Library to get better statistics.

I read about Nightwish, earlier in this topic; I have 124 songs. And In Flames; I have 72. The most CDs (and vinyl) I have of James Horner (film composer): 580 songs' worth. 22h of Hans Zimmer (ditto) inspiration. The Beatles: just the (full) core catalogue.

I listen & like all of it; and honestly love most of it.

(Nice to read, here, from people who go about all that differently.)

If I don't count the sound-samples of my musician-software, then I am currently between 8300 and 8400 items (audio & video), over 296 GB (maybe I will hit the 300 GB soon), and I have not only music from ripped CDs, Bandcamp and the Internet Archive, also many very good live mixes & podcasts from SoundCloud and Official.fm...
I have no Rock & Pop, Jazz & Blues, Hard Rock & Heavy Metal etc., only music from the Electronic Genre Family: Chillout, Ambient & Downtempo, Deep House & Tech House or whatever...
If I mention some of very much artists, the other people will say: "I don't know this artist, never heard something about him or her!", because all these artists are far away from the "Top Ten", incl. me...
And after I have made this post, the next podcast will be uploaded on SoundCloud, and I will download it, too...
