Vinyl is 2010. Even the cassette revival is waning. Either get into minidisc or - back into CDs.

I'd pre-purchased the new ABBA album Voyage ..it arrived yesterday and I flac'd and mp3'd it before even listening to it. Pretty good.. Definitely themes aged since those earlier years but, it has been 40 yrs since the last album so. And, yeah, I like to get from HD shops that let you pick your formats etc but, this wasn't initially a situation like that. Wish I could get to London to see their new digital concert in that specially-built theater.

Okay, sorry for pulling out older topics, but it's my way of trying to get to know each other in areas that interest me (and the community -- at least in the past). Sorry if it's a nuisance; let me know.

Huh! Didn't even know about that. Slightly curious about it now... I used to like ABBA (Super Trouper is my fave album), but... well, it's okay still. I still play Gold I & II every other year.

Older media were mentioned here. Aside from a complete overhaul of my digital versions of my collection, I'm also -- slowly -- listening to all my old sound carriers. (Vinyl, compact cassette, CD.) During 2017-2021, I finished all CDs.

                      Last tape listened:
Les Misérables, Complete Symphonic Recording (part 2).

BTW, I never had minidisc. Nor DAT or DCC... just the above mainstream carriers.

Wait! I did use VHS for music (videos), though... But those are long gone. (Did anybody use VHS to store sound-only? I knew people who did that, said to have better quality than tape; but I didn't have the tech to really make it worth it.)
Software: 5v572, 5v666 Redux; Musicolet; MP3 Gain, Tag, Direct Cut; Wavosaur. Amp: Tensai TA-2650, Philips FR984, JVC RX-150BK.
