I hate Winamp 2.72!!!!!

I fucking hate WINAMP for succeeding in fucking up badly enough that 2.72 doesn't even fucking EXIT PROPERLY FROM WINDOWS 98SE... hit Ctrl Alt Delete and there it is, running in the background, making it impossible to reopen in the normal manner - 2.65 seems to work so I'm sticking with that; Jesus Christ with a cunt stretched over his head, why can't fucking developers make upgrades without introducing PILES OF NEW FUCKUPS!!!!!!

Maybe you have the Winamp agent enabled...but this isn't Tech Support.

That's not really typical behavior for Winamp Agent but, anyway, Bardolph's got a Bug Report thread here:

Do you mean when you click the close button in Winamp, it stays in the task list even after it's closed?

Does it say "Winamp" or "Winampa" in the Task List? If it says "Winampa" that's the Winamp Agent, you silly. Go into the prefs and shut the dagged thing off.

When is winamp 2.73 or 2.8 or whatever coming out???? I don't give a flying fuck about winamp 3 i just want a new version of winamp 2.x so idon't have to download the alphas and/or sonique.

Winamp 2.72 Crashes frequently...why?

Whenever I play MP3s with Winamp 2.72, it will randomly throw up a "This program has committed an illegal operation and will be shut down..." error message. I don't know what the deal is. It has happened ever since I have tried 2.72...so for several months it has happened. I have to use Winamp 2.6 or Sonique, whose interface I do not like.
