You guys, seriously. Gawd damnit. Stop changing your avatar pic all the time, it's driving me crazy. Your avatar pic is NOT your e-peen, your forum presence is.

Mine gets changed when the forum's rules on form factor and/or resolution for avatars is updated. Otherwise, same old picture. I think I may have been a "forum king" before I finally broke down and made one.
I can see your point. I usually look at the avatar before reading the screen name. It's faster for me that way. I like slight variations though, based on the same image. Some members often do that with the change in seasons, or they'll add something temporarily as a joke or to match a theme, but still based on the same image.
When a member completely changes an avatar, it makes me think it's a whole different person.Don't forget to live before you die.

That could also implicate that your impression of another user may have been wrong for all this time. Another solution would be no avatars at all. In any case, it also happens to me what Swingdjted said, but I think it happens mostly in THESE forums since there are people with the same avatar for 10 years or so (and the forums are even older..). I don't think it happens in other "younger" / smaller forums..Comment
