IN_LREC PLUG IN AND THE LOW MUSIC LEVEL

I've a shoutcast radio and when i put that plugin tu use the microphone the level of the music becomes really low and the listners can't listen anythinggggggg.
Why does it happen?
How can I fix it?
Whitout the plug in the mp3's sound fine but I must use microphone for my radio, so how can I do?

Lot's of different sound cards have different input levels on their line in plugs. Try adjusting your level's through your volume control panel, howver, a word of caution, don't adjust them to high or you'll get a lot of distortion and a "Tin" like sound on playback. If this does not work, adjust your Pre-Amp in Winamp. I hope this helps!

I'm not sure how the WinAmp/Shoutcast programmers have approached this, but every mixer I've owned in the last 15 years drops the music volume when the mic is activated to do voiceovers. I would not rule out that WinAmp does the same thing.

Another solution to this may be buying a cheap mixer (less than $50 at Radio Shack), and connecting your inputs to it, and the mixers outputs to your sound card. This setup will provide a great deal more flexibility than the stock WinAmp/Shoutcast combination.

I've had that problem a few times with ShoutCAST. Mine kept dropping the music when I had the Mic-in or Line-in clicked on in the DSP Plugin, wether I was talking or not. To rememdy the situation I constructed a second PC, threw in some playlist software, and just running it to the "Line-In" on my soundcard. Now it works fine...
