  • Autoloading Shoutcast

Anyone know if there is any parameters to start winamp and have it connect to the DNS server so that I can autoload it at a given time in the system Scheduler? If not this way is there another way or program that can?

You may want to try SAM at http://www.specialaudio.com

I've heard some people talk about using a Macro program to launch Winamp and configure it approriately. That might be a way to go.

Could you guide me to a post that has it. So I can get some info or maybe a site about it.

You could just make a shell script, use a perl script, or maybe some php, or... wait, you probably run Windows don't you?

Go to http://www.winfiles.com. Under Shareware for Windows 98 (Or NT) look for the Utilities section, then go to Automation. You want a program that will press a button when the window appears on the screen. However you will need to make sure that you never minimize the Shoutcast DSP so your program will recognize the window. A program called RTVReco might help as well. Here is the link

If WinAmp / Shoutcast DSP ran under *nix, I'd be a happy man. If I could control the shoutcast DSP via a perl script, I'd be happier.

I've never figured out that VB script stuff.
