I've designed a GUI using Qt, to start/stop the v2 DNAS and edit the sc_serv.conf. I stop the server by accessing the system's process via QProcess and a shell command. The problem is, I don't know how to determine whether a PID means that the server is in fact running or is just an active process.
I'd like to be able to determine if the server has started to show an "active" image or icon in the GUI, and if it stops to show a deactivated image/icon.
I know it's possible since the IDJC app I'm using displays a green bar when the server is running and a red bar when it stops. Can you help in this matter?
