SHOUTcast - SSL Stream?

Hello,

Many request and asking about this but as we can see SHOUTcast / Radionomy do nothing in this way. In this days, many migrate to https / ssl website to be higher index on Google (deh, Google decide that without care about others), and also all have the same problem: SHOUTcast can not stream over https / ssl protocol.

The question is: When will be release a new build with HTTPS option. (can use let's encrypt certificate)

I asked when because it's higher necessary, is not a option for people who use SHOUTcast, they have https website and want to include a html5 player.

I hope developer / developers take this request serious because all of us need it. IceCast have this from long time already.

PS: Stunnel is not a real option, can not X-Forwarded the real ip of listener.

as a workaround I have dropped an httpd in front of sc_serv as a proxy. apache2, lighttpd, nginx, etc. also icecast.

This is the wet dream, I think Shoutcast is the leader about streaming service but we really need SSL encryption, that will help us with SEO and increase the trusty to the visitors in case that we are webmasters.

search engines will crawl your site regardless of http or https. search engine optimization relies more on page content, html meta tags, page title, and url more than anything else. ssl/tls has no impact on any of those.
