  • Altacast Transfer Rate will NOT set to 128 KBPS

    i have been having this problem for months, when streaming the transfer rate is streaming at 31 Kbps it will not stream any higher, and theres no sound coming from my stream url, please help me resolve this. The bitrate in the settings is set to 128.

    * Mod note
    this is not a Winamp issue and basicly not a shoutcast issue either , looks more like an Altacast issue but perhaps someone can help this user*

    every plugin i use it gives me the same problem

    this is definitely a winamp issue, i used multiple DSP plugins and i get the same result, Oddcast, Altcast and Edcast

      all you name are not Winamp Plugins.....
      These are all stand alone broadcaster tools to steam to a server
      None of them is in any way related to Winamp.

      Winamp has it's own plugin called the DSP plugin.

        dsp to stream mp3

        the only standalone i have installed is the Oddcast, which streams fine at 128kbps, the 2 installed plugins inside winamp, altcast and edcast, are the ones that stream only at 31 kbps

            Altacast hasn't seen any development in at least 4 years... its a dead project.

            Have you thought of using a Stand alone Encoder

            Its a method I used when streaming.

              working now, i reinstalled wimamp and altcast plugin, also added the lame_enc.rar Win64 file version, i think that was the issue.
