Directory is down for maintenance: 503

Greetings everyone,

As I sit & look at the other streams listed in YP, my server is getting error: Directory is down for maintenance: 503. Am I the only one encountering this or am I the only person still using v2.5x or is there maintenance going on with apis and self hosted streams?

Same issue here, can't list streams in shoutcast directory either.
We use shoutcast v 2.5.x also for most of our streams.

Shoutcast did perform maintenance on their directory a few days ago, but the maintenance either has not completed or there is a problem, as other users reported similar issues on Shoutcast's forums:

I've done some testing and notice any shoutcast v2.5 are below will not be in the directory any more because they was cheating the system to get in the directory and now shoutcast catchup on those people that cheating the system with V2.5 instead of using the latest V2.6, if you notice all the streams in the directory is all using the shoutcast v2.6 now..

Oh one more thing i forget to type,if you change over too v2.6 you will see your station get in the directory..

if you upgrade to the "new" 2.6 you're instantly listed in the directory even with your old auth-hash. (me personally) I am not going to use v2.6 for "technical" reasons. I will not discuss this "inside" info in respect of "business" considering sc partnerships with these big tech companies, blah blah blah.

the most important thing to understand about 2.6 is flash support died when adobe ended it. so no more "old school" relays connecting to spread your streams to underdeveloped countries. TBH I have no ill will toward sc about this abrupt change in support. However, I'd respect them more had they told us they were ending support for v2.5 in their maintenance notice email. I feel like they kept it secret as they removed 1,000's of v2.5 streams. Infowars is AAC so they're out & I believe Rick & Bubba is Also out.

FWIW: I am an Admin for Alabama's Finest Radio. We "were" Top 20 for 4 years straight... It was a fun ride tho

I would definitely thank ShoutCast for their ongoing support of registered streams.

Here we are experiencing the same issue again (Error: 503 Directory Maintenance) BUT this time, the issue is intermittent & quite annoying... In short terms: Thanks for the algorithm (but it needs some adjusting).

I notice: every time I push a server restart, I'm listed in the directory with no problems. As my relays & streamers pour in, my visibility in the directory gets pretty shady. One minute I'm 503, next minute I'm public, I'm listed in the directory & a few minutes later I'm listed but showing 0 listeners although my self hosted radio panel & sc status page says xxxx listeners. tisk, tisk, tisk....

Right now, I'm currently 503. I have 3,744 listeners (Alabama's Finest Radio). The cute part about it: I only experience this issue when I go from 2-100 listeners in xx minutes & or 500-1,000 listeners. And when I reach over 2,000 listeners I'm no longer listed in the directory. I'm willing to push an early restart but I don't want to disrupt my streamers... I bet if I do so, I'll be back listed.

At one point, I cared about it but now that I garner so much traffic, I longer care as my stream is 100% unscathed. I know that sounded cliché & some what a contradiction. I only posted this for those who care about what's happening here.
