I did a search first so I don't think this has been discussed. Also, this isn't an advertisement. I use the Perfect Declipper plugin (it works in 5.9 RC1!) to listen to Shoutcast and other streaming radio and after doing some testing, I now prefer it to Replay Gain on audio files.
The VU meters in Quinto 3.6 were showing an enormous amount of clipping (as opposed to the occasional peak) on most streaming audio coming from Shoutcast and other sources such as all the British DAB simulcasts. Perfect Declipper does a wonderful job eliminating clipping.
