  • PRONET and foreign licensing

PRONET (https://is.gd/cdJWYi) runs adverts indicate it's US only. Can anyone recommend a similar service covering either the world, or just countries outside the US?

    something to read

Safeguard yourself with a licence for internet radio. And get to know tools at your disposal to control your station's output.

A decent streamhost will cover this for you. just a matter of google to find that host.

Your Wikipedia link only lists Netherlands, United Kingdom, Hungary, and North America. Does that mean that France, Germany, Australia, and the rest of the world have no royalty requirements for internet radio?

we have run an internet radiostation fully legal and by paying your streamhost the royalties were paid to BUMA / STEMRA and that covered a world wide broadcast.

So if you deal with a company that claims US only , my question would be "how are you planning to stop people from outside the US to listen to this?"

So you have to pay for royalties but in most cases the streamhost has that covered with a blanket license and you pay less than you would pay if you paid the royalties.
Find a decent streamhost , ask them about the royalties and happy broadcasting

OK, I emailed BumiStemra and asked if they can give me worldwide licensing like they do for you.

if your station is hosted by a dutch streamhost they can.
If you are elsewhere in the world , they can't

and BUMA didn't give me the license , my former streamhost had a blanket license and paid them for us.....

I don't mind a Dutch streamhost. I actually don't know where my current streamhost is. In the cloud somewhere.

not much patience on your side,
this isn't a company that has only one thing to do, it can take up to 5 to 7 workdays before you get a reply

and did you use the online at emailadres?

they have more than one adress on the website
and the online at is the one you need being an internet radio station.
If you mail to any other adress it will only lead to delay

Got a price from BumiStemra, have emails out to Sena, too, and PRONET for US/Canada, PPLUK and prsformusic for the UK. Still wondering any need to fund Victor Orban's government
