  • Frame settings changed, could cause playback problems: samplerate 48000(44100)

    Hello,
I believe that this monetization technical problem related thread has to be opened here, rather than on the technical support forum pages?

Some advertisements/ impressions are being aired by TargetSpot / Shoutcast at a different sampleRate (48000) that is causing audio to be not audible or to contain very noisy playback audio errors.

Isn't anybody else bothered by this problem?

Log writes the following: "Frame settings changed, could cause playback problems: samplerate 48000(44100)".

    Any help?
    Thank you,
    Regards
    MRGrp

    Hello SHOUTcast / TargetSpot team,

    WAKE UP

listeners are laughing while listening the advertisement with playback problems. WE (your company and us) are loosing our face!

You need to take action... just re-encode the advertisements using the correct mp3/44100 standard! It's a 1 minute job.

I forwarded it to the Shoutcast/Targetspot team.

Next time a PM to Nosti is your best option or an email to the support of shoutcast.

          Dear NJK
Do you know that I never got a reply to emails sent to support? And it's not just me... Everybody is writing the same about support team ZERO assistance on this forum.

...I think you wanted to make a joke, Right? :-)

Thank you Nosti for forwarding my email.

By the way, advertisements having playback issues aren't just our problem...
it means that all streams airing "monetization" advertisements and playing files with encode issues are suffering the same issue, isn't it?

            Hey MRGrp,
            we already know each other.

I have had the problems only with AAC. With MP3 I never had problems with the error message.

Try to get in touch with Targetspot again. The contact page looks relatively new to me: https://www.targetspot.com/contact/contact-us/

            Greetings

Nope i didn't joke, you are barking up the wrong tree here.
as already posted, your only option is to PM Nosti about things or email support.

Posting a thread here doesn't do anything since there are no people from targetspot/shoutcast on these forums

and as you already know , the support at shoutcast is to say it nicely a real bummer.

                Hello NJK,

Well, you were suggesting 2 options: One option was writing a PM to Nosti (thanks for letting me know that, it's appreciated) and the second writing an email to support... and my joke (I even added a smiling face to make it clear) was based on the second part of your suggestion.

Dear LStratmann, the log is pointing out that it's the advertisements audio file played by TargetSpot/SHOUTcast that creates the playback error wrong frameset (48000) so I think that we (radio stations airing TargetSpoits' monetization advertisements) can't do that much to fix it... and those "wrong frameset" files sound really-really bad... not good for our listeners.

I believe that would be enough to re-encode the advertisements audio files using frameset 44100.
