  • Need Help With Nak Error =)

Hi.. I am having problems with using the ShoutCast DNAS. I have Cable modem and I think I have an internal ip (10.1.131.25) and an external ip (148.233.173.157).

I would like to know how do I configure the DNAS and the Shoutcast DSP so I can have my own station.

Ps: I have XP and I've already disabled the XP Firewall and have no other Firewall.

    Thanks.

This is what the Shoutcast shows:

    Two things.

Check internet sharing/firewall on your computer

    OR

You have a connection through a router. You need to forward your ports via your router settings. If you're behind a router, then you DO, in fact, have another firewall ... the router. It has an internal firewall.

    Good luck.

Q: And how can I forward my ports?
A: Check with your router documentation

        Q: And I don't know whats a router
A: Check with your network administrator/ISP to see if you have a router. Else, describe your setup entirely here and we'll try to puzzle it out.

        Q: Anyone can help me?
        A: Yes.

Are the necessary ports open in your firewall and are they being forwarded to the DNAS machine?

Well... I am with a Cable ISP... I'm using a CableModem wich is connected to Ethernet 10/100

And I get a NAK error, I've disabled Windows XP's Firewall and I have uninstalled my own firewall... and still the same...

          What can I do?
