hello everybody. i am a new member and i had some problems with the server. When I connect my winamp after few minutes it appears on the server this message

[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<03/03/[email protected]:16:12> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 80.116.231.38:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))

what does it mean, what i am supposed to do(i turned off all the firewall)
actually I am not using that ip(80.116.231.38:8000) because with that one I can't even connect me. I am using an other ip and it does connect but other people can't listen to me.

Last thing......i am using a wireless connection.....

please read the sticky thread called "shoutcast answers to frequently asked questions" and scroll down to the errors there . You will find the exact same error there and what to do.

this is the most asked question in these forums so there is plenty info availible ( also use forum search function on this one)

hi, i'm a new user, too, on this forum and i'm streaming with orban opticodec aacPlus v2 through a Shoutcast Linux v1.9.5 version. i am getting this error and i don't know y, because streaming this format other stations are listed, check here:

what can i do to not receive this erro anymore and to be listed with the others? Thanx!

Why are they visible and i'm not?

[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: xx.xx.xx.xx:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))
Your firewall and/or router MUST be configured to allow ports 8000 and 8001. If you are unsure of how to do this then please visit portforward.com for assistance in both router and firewall problems.

Occasionally an ISP caches IPs at the local exchange which also causes bother when you know you have forwarded your ports correctly. In this case scroll down in your DNAS config to here

; Yport, port to connect to yp.shoutcast.com on. For people behind caching
; webproxies, change this to the alternate port (666 is what it might be,
; check www.shoutcast.com if you have problems). Otherwise, leave this at 80.

and change 80 to 666.
