  • Weird ShoutCast issue

    All,
I am having an weird issue with a radio station I am setting up using sc_serv and sc_trans.
I have my radio running fine and no errors in the log file. I can hear the station from a Firefox and IE installed in one machine in my local network.
All other machines I cannot hear it from any browser, but I can if I use WinAmp or VLC.
This is also true when I try to access it from outside my network, I can even hear the station from my cell phone.
My server is running in an alternate port 9000 since I run other services on port 8000.
I tried java players as well, with no luck.
My station is http://gersongarcia.dnsalias.com:9000 if you want to check it out.

    Any help? Suggestions?

    Thank you very much,

    GG

Might have to do with the browser players trying to connect to the remote IP instead of the local one. Not a whole lot you can really do about that except to use a router that allows local network clients access to ports forwarded by it. Other solutions are a bit more complicated but it's really nothing to worry about.
