Create Authhash

Hello,

I have ubuntu 10.4 in 64 bit...
And i would like to install shoutcast server whit SHOUTcast DSP Plug-In for Winamp

How to create Authhash on SHOUTcast Authhash Management ?

I have now on manager only the possibility to Update Authhash and Remove Authhash ?

Update Authhash | Remove Authhash

Error Code: 464.
"Authhash could not be found or removed"

Error Code: 470.
"Invalid authorization hash"

open the config file, make sure it doesn't have anything lie <enter_authhash_here> - if it does then you need to remove it. and either reload or restart the DNAS.

We tried emptying <> no change on the DNAS admin the "Create AuthPath" is not displayed.

I have comented the line you told to replace the enter_authhash_here otherwise i have no "Create AuthPath" link.

in this case the link appears "Create AuthPath"

But when i click "Create AuthPath" i have Error Code: 466. "Parameter outside of allowed range"

error 466 means you've entered something over the limit is allowed - there's a bug in the current release which doesn't validate the length of all of the entered parameters correctly.

keywords + decscription can only go to 120 characters in length.

By reducing the ammount of characters in the description the "Generate AuthPath" does finally the work checked in the conf file.

Now we click the listen link we have "test.aac" opens in itunes but no sound still...

by putting http://www.mysite.com:8000/mp3.mp3 in stead of test.aac
we got sound now

But still an error :/

if you have an mp3 stream, you shouldn't be having anything which indicates a different format. based on the prior post you're using example config file - if so then you need to remove the example streampath entry and then reload the config settings (via the admin summary page) or re-start the DNAS completely. that way it will provide a non-conflicting stream path for client players to use.

also you should really use the /listen.pls action for players when working directly from the DNAS as that will do what it can to ensure the client is provided an url to the stream which will work.
