someone using my RADIO TITLE

Someone is using my title name in the shoutcast directory and my music is not playing
How can I fix this, stop someone from using my name and playing rock music, this is what is looks like in the shoutcast directory

i cannot find any listing in the directory with that exact title - i'd need an exact search result (if it's still happening) to be able to try to check out the details.

Problem with title directory

This is the problem, sometimes my title does not show up at all, and when it do show up, it is playing someone else music
just type in soul gold radio in a search and see what comes up
i have 3 stations with soul gold radio
but look for soul gold radio#1 is where i am having the problem

i only see #2 and #3 and no trace of #1 in the internal report i can look at. without a DNAS IP to work against, there's not much i can do.

Hello Daz, i am new at this where is my DNAS IP where do i get it from and is it safe to give out that infomation in here, I would love to get the problem corrected, soul gold radio#1 is my number one station I don't care if station 2 or 3 don't show up, Just tell me where to go and get the DNAS IP from this is my streaming ip http://199.16.186.38

your streaming IP is the DNAS IP - however it's not showing anything which relates to what you've mentioned as being your stream title - that has a title of 'DJKage - The Inferno' and that can only come from the source connected.

so at the moment i don't think there is anything i need to do as the server you've provided is listed via http://www.shoutcast.com/Internet-Ra...0The%20Inferno which matches with what's listed on the DNAS's summary page.

there's no need to shout by typing in capitals for all of the post. at my time of looking (as i've been away all of last week when you posted), i'm not seeing any incorrect listing in the 3 stations which are present so i can only assume that the issue has worked itself out again (as it seems to do).

the v1 system can incorrectly merge stations which are unrelated either maliciously or due to random bug in the YP (there is a fix pending for this which was briefly deployed on the 6th October but had to be reverted as other changes failed).

if you want to ensure that only your station is listed in it's own listing then the v2 DNAS and the authhash system (which is free) is the best way as that will specifically ensure your listing is only those stations with the same authhash.

Sir the problem have not been fixed, I have 4 Radio station upper soul gold radio, i just check only 2 showing up soul gold radio hits is my main station, if i am lucy it will show up once a week playing someone else MUSIC, Thanks

then which entry is actually wrong as it all looked ok when i checked earlier i.e. i'd need an exact tune-in link from the site, not just the search link from the address bar (as posted previously).

however, if it's what i think, then until we can deploy a YP update, there is nothing that i or anyone else can properly do about the issue since once it starts happening on a stream, it will generally keep happening (which is why a YP update is required and hopefully can be done now that i'm back from holiday).
