  • Connection Problem

I need someone's help ASAP! I recently went to ************** and have a VPS with a dedicated IP for my radio station; I also went thru the whole entire set up of shoutcast to make the connection, and it says ICY 401 Unavailable - connection to server can not be established.

I called ************** and they have the 8007 port open but I feel like its on shoutcast's end...can someone help me with this issue? Thanks

Need more information other than just the ICY 401 Unavailable message.

What version of sc_serv and sc_trans are you using? It might also help if you post up the configs (block out password of course)

based on the config file, i'd have to assume you're using a v1 DNAS though what source i've no idea...

either way, ICY401 errors usually happen due to clients trying to connect the DNAS server when there is no source connected to it. as such you really need to make sure there is a source connected and that there are no other errors being thrown in the log.

        [edit]
locking as a newer thread was created which i didn't see until after this reply and merging them was going to look too weird. issue / discussion continued in http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=341397
