Try associating PLS files with Winamp.
In Windows, go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps > (scroll to) Choose default app by file type > (scroll to) .pls

How do I play Shoutcast on Winamp 5.8 beta instead of VLC player? My computer keeps automatically bringing VLC player up to play shoutcast radio when I'm clicking on Shoutcast radio station in Winamp. I'm using Windows 10 Pro 64.
